Almost Christmas...

Dec. 19th, more Covid restrictions, in debt, have a nice place to live but too, too, too small. Can’t unpack everything, still painting but not finishing Power Goat, barely enough room. Just making small things. I love my daughter. That’s it.

It’s legal for other countries to manufacture sidewalk chalk.

It’s legal for CDN corporations, businesses; and international companies to import sidewalk chalk to Canada for sale in Canada.

Legal to make, legal to sale.

So it IS legal to use sidewalk chalk on sidewalks.

Made something new, finally...

I got strapped as a kid, not usually required but my Dad’s view differed. Now I knew stealing’s bad, but I knew a lot of kids did it and I had to do it too. Just the thrill, never as a career move. I believed that stealing WAS bad, like my Dad (& all the others) taught us.

But I also learned WE ARE ALL hypocrites.

I was getting strapped with a leather strap my Dad stole from a school afterall.

This is that strap.

KOMBUCHA tastes so good...

Well, what a couple of weeks. August 12, get a text from a good friend showing me a picture asking me if this is my building, it is; and fuck, two suites destroyed by a fire! My suite escaped fire/smoke/water damage but others not so fucking lucky. All the tenants have to move because of all the damage to the building. No power, no internet, everyone’s gotta go.

So I had to stay with a nephew and his gracious wife while looking for a new home; and I gotta pack everything, no painting, no music, no reading, just hustle everyday to find a new home that I can afford. It was tough but I managed and I finished tonight. Unpacking will take weeks, if I decide to unpack because this place (though very nice) will only be a way-station for a year before I can find something more permanent and big enough to live my life.

A year.

First have to finish POWER GOAT. So close...
