EXHIBITIONS:

January 14-31, 2019, Exhibition at The Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts in Edmonton, AB, Canada.

Saying hello to a fellow shovelling snow on his sidewalk and asking about the art hanging in his house led in a very short time to this exhibition at the NINA.

Artistic Director, Paul Freeman, and I exchanged websites; and soon after I made a submission to the NINA I was offered a calendar spot and I naturally accepted their invitation to show.

The NINA is a wonderful Edmonton resource for people with developmental disabilities to express themselves artistically; and the staff there who work with these people (and with me) are great. The staff helped me set up a show of 24 paintings with less than a week of prep time.

These photos show the great arrangement (courtesy of David Janzen, Exhibition Coordinator) & also thanks to Leslieanne Blackner Au (Community Engagement Manager) who designed the posters, post-cards and other tasks. These two professionals made my experience at the NINA verrrrry nice.

The reception was a chance for me to talk with like minded artists/art admirers which is something mostly absent in my life & it was wonderful to be in that groove again.

ONWARD!
